Welcome to skillazfc.com (the “Site”), operated by Skillaz Football Club (“Skillaz FC,” “the Club,” “we,” “us” or “our”), a club registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC Registration No. 9767497).

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Site, registration as a player/member, and any purchase of products through our online store. By accessing the Site, registering an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These Terms should be read alongside the Skillaz FC Constitution and Bylaws, which governs football participation, membership and club discipline in more detail. Where there is a direct conflict between these Terms and the Constitution on club governance matters, the Constitution shall prevail.

1. Who We Are

Skillaz Football Club is an amateur and recreational football club based in Abuja, Nigeria. Skillaz FC operates as a distinct corporate entity from its individual members, players, coaches, officials and volunteers, with ultimate ownership, strategic, corporate, legal and financial authority vested in the Skillaz FC Directors and shareholders.

The Site allows two broad categories of use:

• Player Registration — individuals may register as football members/participants of the Club; and
• E-Commerce — visitors may browse and purchase Skillaz FC jerseys, kits and other branded merchandise, and may create a customer account to do so.

A person may use either or both parts of the Site. Registering as a player does not automatically create a store customer account, and vice versa, though we may allow a single unified login for convenience.

2. Eligibility

2.1 You must be able to form a legally binding contract to register on the Site or place an order. Where a prospective player or customer is a minor, registration must be completed or approved by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf.

2.2 You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration or checkout, including information reasonably necessary for identification, communication, statistics and match records where applicable.

3. Player Registration and Membership

3.1 Registration. Prospective players register through the Site by completing the registration form and providing the requested information.

3.2 Membership qualification. Full membership of Skillaz FC is generally attained through sustained participation (for example, participation across multiple seasons or in a recognised competitive season), as set out in the Constitution. Registering on the Site is a step toward participation and does not, by itself, guarantee membership status.

3.3 Fees. Certain payments may apply, including:

• a membership registration fee (₦10,000, effective from 1 January 2027 for new members);
• football participation fees, charged per session, season, tournament or competition, covering things like pitch access, footballs, bibs, refereeing and match-day administration; and
• a restoration fee (₦4,000) where a forfeited membership is being restored.

Fees are payable through the methods indicated on the Site at the time of registration or renewal, and are non-transferable unless we state otherwise.

3.4 No ownership or governance rights. Registration, membership, or payment of any fee or voluntary contribution does not confer any shares, equity, ownership, partnership, voting, management or governance rights in Skillaz Football Club. Skillaz FC operates an appointment-based governance system; there are no membership elections for the Board of Directors or Executive Committee.

3.5 No employment relationship. Registering, paying a fee, participating in sessions or competitions, receiving a jersey or Membership Card, or appearing in Club media does not make a player an employee, professional footballer, contractor or agent of Skillaz FC, and does not entitle a player to salary, wages, match bonuses or other employment-type remuneration, unless separately agreed in writing with the Board.

3.6 Conduct and discipline. Registered players and members are subject to the Club’s Constitution, including its standards of conduct and disciplinary framework covering matters such as abusive or threatening behaviour, physical altercations, and misconduct on official digital platforms (including the Club’s WhatsApp community). Breach may result in fines, disciplinary strikes, suspension or, in serious cases, expulsion, in accordance with the Constitution’s disciplinary and appeals procedures.

3.7 Assumption of risk. Football is a physical, contact sport. By registering to play, you acknowledge the inherent risk of injury and agree to participate at your own risk, complying with the Club’s safety directions and any applicable medical or fitness requirements.

4. User Accounts (Player and Customer)

4.1 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4.2 You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security.

4.3 We may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe these Terms, the Constitution, or applicable law have been breached, where registration information is false or misleading, or where required to protect the security or integrity of the Site.

5. E-Commerce: Products, Orders and Payment

5.1 Product listings. We aim to display accurate descriptions, images and prices for jerseys, kits and merchandise, but colours, sizing and minor details may vary slightly from what is shown due to display or manufacturing differences.

5.2 Pricing. All prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless stated otherwise and are inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes and delivery charges as indicated at checkout. We reserve the right to change prices at any time before an order is confirmed.

5.3 Order acceptance. Placing an order is an offer to purchase. A contract of sale is formed only when we confirm acceptance of your order (for example, by order confirmation email or message). We may decline or cancel an order due to stock unavailability, pricing errors, suspected fraud, or other reasonable grounds, in which case any payment made will be refunded.

5.4 Payment. Payment must be made in full through the payment methods made available on the Site (which may include card payments, bank transfer, or third-party payment processors). We do not store your full card details; payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers.

5.5 Ownership and risk. Ownership of merchandise passes to you once payment has been received in full. Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery or collection.

5.6 Revenue and Club funds. Revenue from merchandise, jersey sales and other commercial products belongs to and is administered by Skillaz FC under the authority of the Directors. No player, member, or contributor is entitled to a share of this revenue by virtue of membership, participation or voluntary contribution.

6. Delivery

6.1 Delivery timeframes provided at checkout are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including courier delays, incorrect address details provided by you, or force majeure events.

6.2 Where an order includes pickup at a Club venue or event, you will be notified of the collection details.

7. Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

7.1 Faulty or incorrect items. If you receive a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order details and, where possible, photographs of the issue. We will arrange a replacement, exchange or refund as appropriate.

7.2 Change of mind. Unless stated otherwise on a specific product listing, jerseys and merchandise that are unworn, unwashed, and in their original packaging with tags attached may be returned for exchange or store credit within [insert number] days of delivery, at our discretion. Personalised or custom-printed items (e.g., name/number printing) are not eligible for change-of-mind returns unless faulty.

7.3 Refund method. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within a reasonable time, subject to processing times of the relevant payment provider.

8. Intellectual Property, Branding and Player Image

8.1 Club property. The Skillaz FC name, crest/logo, colours, official photographs, videos, graphics, website content and other branded assets are the property of Skillaz Football Club and may not be reproduced, copied or used for any independent commercial purpose without our prior written authorisation.

8.2 Club media. By registering for or participating in Skillaz FC activities, you acknowledge that photographs, videos or recordings taken during ordinary Club activities (matches, training, events) may be used by the Club for legitimate purposes, including the Site, social media, publicity, newsletters, archives and promotional materials. This does not entitle you to compensation. If you wish to object to a specific use, please contact us in writing before the relevant activity where possible.

8.3 Promotional/modelling activities. Participation in any separately organised modelling, advertising or promotional shoot is entirely voluntary, and you are free to decline without any disciplinary or membership consequence. Such participation is non-remunerated unless a separate written agreement is entered into with the Board.

8.4 No transfer of identity rights. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your name, image or likeness to Skillaz FC; it grants the Club permission to use authorised Club-related media as described above.

9. Governance and Authority

9.1 The ultimate authority over Skillaz FC’s corporate, strategic, legal, financial and institutional affairs — including matters relating to this Site, its commercial operations, and Club governance — rests with the Skillaz FC Directors.

9.2 The Executive Committee and other appointed officials operate within authority delegated by the Board and in accordance with the Constitution.

9.3 Skillaz FC is not an electoral association. Registration or membership does not confer any right to vote for Club officials or to demand an electoral process for Club governance.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

10.1 The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we take reasonable care to keep information accurate and the Site functioning properly, we do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10.2 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Nigerian law, Skillaz FC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of the Site, participation in football activities, or purchase of products, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).

10.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Nigerian law.

11. Privacy

Information you provide when registering, purchasing, or otherwise using the Site is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our operations, legal requirements, or the Constitution. The updated Terms will be posted on the Site with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, your registration, or a purchase made through the Site shall, in the first instance, be addressed through good-faith engagement with Skillaz FC, and thereafter shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
